Taj

Taj

It was my first time visiting United Arabic Emirates, and I was not sure what to expect. After 14 hours flight from Sydney, all I wanted to do was to settle down as soon as possible. It was a fairly short journey from the airport to Taj hotel, just 15 minutes and it was made even shorter with the fantastic view of all the unbelievable architecture along the road.

Checking in was swift and easy, we were also offered with traditional Arabic tea and refreshing towels while waiting.

My room was on 15th floor, spacious and most importantly with a grand view of the tallest building in the world---Burj Khalifa. This could already be the whole point for me to choose this hotel, yet my room doesn’t stop amazing me.

The king size bed was unbelievably comfortable. Moreover, you also have a giant TV right in front of the bed to kill some time with.

The bathroom was separated from the living room with a whole piece of glass, and you will still be able to have the view of Burj Khalifa while you are enjoying a hot bath after a tiring day trip. All bathroom products are supplied by Molton Brown, which makes it pointless for me to bring my own products all the way from Sydney.Room services are extraordinary. The mini bar was refilled fast and it also comes along with a lot of complimentary food and beverage. I did not expect that they polished my shoes and left a heartwarming little note on my desk. These little details definitely could win a few points in this competitive hotel industry of Dubai.

On the 3rd floor of Taj hotel, you can find all the facilities that comes with a well-equipped gym, an outdoor pool that has a phenomenal urban view, one sauna and one steam room. It is always a good place to kick off your day.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room, but the quality is still uncompromising. Dubai is home for more than 200 nationalities living and working there, as this could be shown by the varieties of food options in Taj Hotel. I have never had one repetitive meal during my five days stay there.

Taj Hotel did not only offer me some luxurious experience that could only happen in Dubai, but more importantly made me feel like home, only if my home could be this perfect.
